Jack Hikes for Maggie's
New to Hong Kong and keen for a challenge, expat Jack Boardman (right) is traversing the trails of Hong Kong whilst raising funds and awareness for Maggie’s Centre.
It started innocently enough, with a fitness challenge from Boardman’s firm. The initial goal was simple: to walk as much as possible every day for 40 days. “It was a perfect opportunity to get outside and discover hidden parts to Hong Kong and get some fitness at the same time”, says Boardman. With gyms closed and Hong Kong in lock down, a new passion was born and Jack began to challenge himself beyond the standard daily walks with “Hectic Hikes”, as he affectionally calls them.
Wanting to give back to the city that has embraced him, Jack is channeling his efforts into hiking all territories across Hong Kong and raising funds for several charitable organizations including Maggie’s Centre. He has raised a quarter of his $200,000 HKD goal thus far and is thankful for any and all donations.
