Cancer Support Specialist : Oncology Nurse

Responsibilities:
• Provide Centre's Drop-in Service to cancer patients and their caregivers by delivering them clinical, practical and informational supports
• Conduct and facilitate different cancer support groups
• Provide individual and family consultations and counselling to users
• Develop and deliver psychosocial and emotional support programmes
• Maintain up-to-date service and activity records and reports
• Liaise and provide public education to different professional bodies and the general public
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including clinical psychologist, social worker and dietitian etc
• Assist Centre Head with Centre administration or any other works as assigned


Requirements:
• A nursing degree (or equivalent training), with at least five years post-qualification experience within an oncology nursing or related setting;
• Registered nurse with HK Nursing Council with valid practising certificate;
• Broad and up-to-date knowledge in the field of cancer;
• Enthusiasm in helping people affected by cancer with a caring attitude;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, sensitive and good understanding of the needs of people with cancer and their caregivers;
• Matured, flexible and a good team player who is able to work with a multi-disciplinary team effectively;
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin preferable);
• Counselling experience and knowledge is an advantage.

Clinical / Counselling Psychologist (Full Time / Part Time)

Key Responsibilities:
• Report to the Centre Head and assist the Centre Head on shaping and developing Centre's service strategies and directions
• Provide psychological and emotional supports to Centre users and caregivers
• Deliver individual, couple, and family counselling and psychotherapy
• Conduct and facilitate support groups
• Develop and deliver psycho-educational programmes, including seminars and talks to the general public and professional audience
• Lead and execute Centre's service impact measurements and research programmes


Requirements:
• Master's degree or above in Clinical Psychology / Counselling Psychology from a recognised university
• Registered Clinical Psychology / Counselling Psychology, member of a relevant accredited professional body
• Eligibility for membership in the Division of Clinical Psychology of The Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (For Clinical Psychologist only)
• At least two years of clinical experience in cancer care, death and dying or bereavement
• Work experience with multidisciplinary team is an advantage
• Committed, mature, can work independently and with high level of professional integrity

Registered Social Worker

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Centre Head to develop and deliver Centre's psychosocial and emotional support programmes to cancer patients and their caregivers
• Conduct and facilitate different cancer support groups
• Provide counselling and consultations to users as well as support Centre's drop-in service
• Support Centre's volunteers' and befrienders' programmes
• Responsible for the development, co-ordination and delivery of different cancer care and support programmes, workshops, talks, seminars for users and the general public
• Maintain up-to-date service and programme records and reports
• Liaise with different partners including hospitals, NGOs, universities etc. for service collaborations
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including clinical psychologists, nurses and dietitians, fundraising and communications etc to achieve Centre's objectives and targets
• Assist Centre Head with Centre administration or any other works and projects as assigned

Requirements:
• Degree holder with minimum 5 years of social work experience
• Good coordination and organizational skills in programmes implementation, monitoring funding projects and volunteer development
• Committed, flexible and proactive
• A good team player, effective communication skill with different professionals at different levels
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese
• Experienced in cancer support and counselling is an advantage
