Blood and Lymphoma Cancer Awareness Month 2025

Blood cancer is one of the top ten cancers in Hong Kong, mainly categorised into three types: leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, with over a thousand new cases of blood cancer reported annually. It is the leading enemy of young patients, with around 10% of patients being children. Approximately half of the patients are under the age of sixty, highlighting that individuals of any age can be affected by cancer. However, blood cancer also boasts one of the highest recovery rates among cancers. By employing various treatments tailored to different types of blood cancer, the chances of patient recovery can be significantly improved.

Maggie’s Centre invites everyone to support patients, survivors, and carers affected by blood and lymphoma cancers from February to April. Let's spread knowledge, hope, and compassion to raise awareness about blood cancer and show your support to those on the path to recovery!
