Public Talk - Breast Cancer : The latest treatment developments

Breast cancer is the most common female cancer in Hong Kong, with nearly 5,000 new cases in 2020. In general, breast cancer risk increases with age. However, in recent years, the number of reported cases has been rising significantly in the younger age group. Currently, the median age of breast cancer patients in Hong Kong is 58 years old. With the advancement of technology, the cure rate of breast cancer has been improving in the last decade. The survival rate of patients with early breast cancer can be up to 80% or more after appropriate treatment.*

Therefore, Maggie's Centre has invited oncology specialists to introduce the latest treatment developments for different types of breast cancer. The talk can help people understand different treatments, easily involve them in their treatment plans, and ultimately rebuild their hope of living.

All doctor talks are free, and we welcome breast cancer patients, survivors, carers, and interested parties to participate.

All talks are conducted in Cantonese only, please click HERE for more details in Chinese.
