Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre & Legend Charity Foundation presents – The Fayre of St. John’s 2019 was held successfully on 12 December 2019 with over 350 generous donors attended. The charity concert was held at the St. John’s Cathedral and followed by a charity auction and after-party at MO bar, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental.

Renowned celebrities and top-notch artists performed on stage to share festive joy with the audience. Michele Reis and her son read a bible passage to express love and care, Miss Suzan Guterres affectionately sang “Angel Wishing Star”, the youngest soprano in Yale Scholar Cantorum, Lora Chow as well as the violinist Gary Ngan and pianist Kam Wing-chong presented “Mein gläubiges Herze” and “O mio babbino caro” etc. The most heart-warming moment of the night must be the singing performance by Maggie's Centre Music Therapy Choir and the sharing by the service user of Maggie’s Centre – Raymond Hung. Raymond shared his cancer experience and how he walked through the difficulties, he would also like to thank Maggie’s Centre’s professional team for providing practical information, emotional and psychosocial support free-of-charge and in a timely manner.

Over 300 honourable guests attended the concert, including Chairman of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre, Dr. Leong Che-hung, Mrs. Anne Wang-Liu, Ms. Audry Ai Morrow, Mrs. Leigh Tung Chou, Ben Keswick and Martha Keswick just to name a few. Maggie’s Centre was grateful for the generosity of all sponsors: Title sponsor – Legend Charity Foundation, Event Partner – The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Charity Auction Partner – Phillips etc. to enhance the fundraising efforts of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre so as to ensure that Maggie's Centre remains the haven of support to people affected by cancer, be they patients, families or caregivers of one.
