Our Events

Maggie's Centre is honoured to be one of the charity organisations supported by the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2025 Charity Programme. We have received charity quotas for fundraising purposes.

The funds raised will be used to strengthen and extend our existing services and provide timely, tailored, and continuous support to meet the needs of young cancer patients and their carers. Our goal is to enhance their quality of life and empower them to take control of their lives once again.

Register now and share your reasons for supporting Maggie's Centre. We will select the most dedicated participants to join "Team MC" in the "Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2025" 10km race.

Let’s cheer on young friends affected by cancer, encouraging them to continue bravely like in a marathon, facing various challenges post-cancer with strength.

* All proceeds will go directly to cancer patients and their families, funding a variety of mind-body-spirit courses. These programs help patients maintain their health and boost their confidence during treatment and recovery..

Successful participants will receive:

1. A quota for the "Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2025" 10km race
2. A personalised fundraising page created by Maggie's Centre
3. A limited edition Maggie's Centre Charity Runner T-shirt
4. A certificate of appreciation from Maggie's Centre for the "Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon Charity Programme 2025"

Race Information

Date: 9 February 2025 (Sunday)

Race: 10KM (Non-Challenge Race)

Minimum donation: HK$1,560/ per person

Registration Process:

1. Submit the registration form by October 11, 2024 (Friday).
2. Selected charity runners will receive an email or WhatsApp notification before October 18, 2024.
3. After providing personal information and photos, Maggie's Centre will create a personalised fundraising page for you, allowing you to start sharing with family and friends to raise funds for Maggie’s Centre.
4. The event organiser "Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2025" will also send an application acknowledgment email to your registered email address with the log in to “Runner Dashboard” to check your application information and status.
5. Upon verification of registration details, the event organizer will send a confirmation email to each charity runner in early January 2025, specifying the participant's race category and start time.

Remarks：

1. Participants should ensure their health conditions are suitable for event participation.

2. Age requirement: participants must be 16 years old or above as of 2025 (Count by Year of Birth).

3. Donations of HK$100 or above to Maggie’s Centre are tax deductible.

4. The donations received will not be refunded.
