Spring Health and Remedy Tips

Modern nutritionists provide the best nutrition consumption method by testifying nutrition and vitamin analysis and food categorization, which is similar to the Chinese medicine philosophy. Chinese medicine and Western medicine both serve the same purpose by creating nutritional recipes to promote people’s physical health.

The following soup recipes are recommended for families and good for promoting health (2-4 people)

 

1) Buddhist melon soup

Use: To remove heat and induce diuresis, fortifying the spleen and regulate the stomach

Ingredients: 1 catty of Buddhist melon, 4 candareen of raw coix seeds, 4 candareen of cooked coix seeds, 4 candareen of mussels(washed), small amount of white rice and 1 piece of dried tangerine peel

Direction: Combine the ingredients with suitable amount of water, cook for 30 minutes, add salt for seasoning.
 

 

 

2) Apple & snow fungus soup

Use: To clear lung and dispel phlegm

Ingredients: 2-3 apples (cut into slices and remove the core, 5 mace of snow fungus (soaked with water), 3 slices of Common Yam Rhizome, 4 candareen of apricot kernel, 4 candareen of bitter apricot kernel, 1 candareen of dried orange peel(or suitable amount of lean pork)

Direction: Add water into ingredients and cook for 30 minutes, add salt for seasoning.

 

 

3) Dried cabbage soup

Use: To clear lung and remove heat

Ingredients: 2 candareen of dried cabbage, 2 pieces of candied date, 4 candareen of apricot kernel, 4 candareen of bitter apricot kernel, 1/2 carrot, 1/8 momordica fruit, 1 candareen of dried tangerine peel (or can add some fresh cabbage and pork)

Direction: Add water to ingredients and cook for 2 hours, add salt for seasoning.
